Taking care of ourselves doesn’t just mean eating healthy and getting exercise. We should be taking care of every aspect of our bodies. Do you ever notice how good you feel when you step outside in front of the waves at the beach? The sound of the waves hitting the shore and the smell of fresh salty air calming your mind and relaxing your body as you set yourself free. Who wouldn’t want to feel like that? That’s why I created my own natural seaside face wipes using the best ingredients I could find!

Lavender essential oil:

Lavender is gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin types. It has anti-inflammatory properties and it aids in healing certain skin conditions such as eczema and acne. Lavender is great if you want to tone your skin while protecting it thanks to its powerful antioxidants.

Bergamot essential oil:

Bergamot is great for those individuals that suffer from oily or dry skin. It also serves as a great skin brightener and balances out uneven skin tones. This essential oil does a great job at removing impurities and toxins from pollution on our skin.

Eucalyptus essential oil:

Eucalyptus is best known for being a natural antiseptic. It’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties are great for treating various skin conditions.

Rosemary essential oil:

Rosemary is loaded with nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that help prevent skin damage from things such as too much sun exposure. It pretty much has all of the properties of lavender, bergamot, and eucalyptus combined.

Witch Hazel:

Witch hazel can do just about anything. My favorite thing about this natural astringent is that it nourishes your skin and helps fight against signs of aging such as wrinkles.

Grapeseed Oil:

Grapeseed oil is amazing if you’re looking for an oil that isn’t too heavy on the skin. It’s light and won’t leave your skin feeling greasy. You will find that it makes a great moisturizer and speeds us the skin’s healing process. The antioxidants and Vitamin E in grapeseed oil can protect you from sun damage and tone your skin as well. It will leave your skin feeling smooth and looking younger.

Coconut Oil:

Besides the delicious aroma of coconuts, coconut oil is great for replenishing and adding nutrients to your skin.

Now that you know all the benefits of the ingredients in my DIY beauty recipe, let’s get to making these natural seaside face wipes!

You’ll need….

  • 12 oz jar
  • 100% cotton towel or fabric of your choice.
  • Fabric scissors
  • Washable marker

Ingredients:

How to make these reusable face wipes:

1.) Set your towel or fabric of choice on a flat surface. Trace about 16 circles onto your reusable fabric with a washable marker while using the lid of your jar as a guide. This is key if you want perfect circles!

2.) Once you are finished tracing, take your fabric scissors and cut out all of the rounds that you’ll be using for your face wipes.

3.) Wash your fabric rounds with a gentle laundry soap to remove any leftover marker stains and let them dry.

4.) Insert your face wipes inside of your jar while you prepare the ingredients.

5.) Combine the distilled water, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, and witch hazel in a bowl. Make sure it’s mixed well!

6.) Add your essential oils into the bowl and mix your solution once more.

7.) Pour the solution into the jar very carefully. Move the jar around to distribute the liquid evenly into and around the face wipes.

8.) Seal the jar to keep the moisture inside until you are ready to give them a try!

These wipes are made from ingredients that are safe for all skin types and will leave you feeling refreshed and beautiful. You can use them daily to cleanse and tone your skin. They’re easy to make, reusable, and won’t harm the environment! My favorite part is that the scent reminds me of a relaxing day at the beach.
